(By Teleg-rapii— per Press Association) GISBORNE, April 17 An inquest was held by Mr H. Hill junior, acting: coroner,, on a iittle boy named Edward Trumper, aged 11, w*ho was drowned in the Waitaata river while bathing- with two smaller . brothers. Great difficulty was experienced in recovering^ the body owing io lack of proper appliances. A constable -was compelled to dive repeatedly. The jury returned a verdict of accidental drowning and drew the - attention of the authorities to the necessity of getting- proper .grapplingirons.. . Alfred E. Turton,.whb died in Canterbury lately, left property to the value of £138,965.
