The Waipukurau' Jockey Club's an nual race meeting Was held on Easter "Monday. ' Thepe was a- large .atjtend'ance. The' weather was showery. * '"' An accident happened in the first race, Ngakau and Lady Edna falling. The jockeys P. o'Brien and J. GriffitHs were taken to the Waipukurau hospital, Klit though both were severely bruised, it is not' thought they "havft sustained serious jnjuries.
