The Mapoutika is due from north this morning and will bring the passengers and mails transhipped from the Arahura which yesterday put back to Westport. The Mapourika is timed to sail on return at 8 o'clock to-night.

Yesterday morning- the Arahura was ordered back to Westport and the bar dangerous signal put up. The Ngatoro and Himitangi then took the bar against the signal and entered safely. Captain Manley has rejoined the Kimitangi.

The Union Company's steamer Whangape is at . present detained at Newcastle on account of "the strike of the Pelawmain miners.
