Mesrs Harley and Co., Ltd., report <the ; sale of Mr Mallet's property in Leonard Street for £270 .and MrCundy's property in Blaketown at £350. Mr E. j, Thomas' Shakespeare Street' property was submitted under the hammer yesterday afternoon and there was a fair attendance at the sale. This property was started at' £1,000 and bids came till £1275 was reached and .when the auctioneer appealed to the vendor, he decided to withdraw the property and treat privately, as his idea of value was not reached. The best bid for Mr T. Thomas' fine residence, "Fern Hill" with oo cr two acres of land was £1,---400 at which figure it was also passed in.
