At a regatta meeting last night, the Superintendent in the chair, a committee was appointed to carry out the Interprovincial Regatta in connection with the usual anniversary regatta of the Province on the 22nd of January. Ll2O was subscribed in the room. The various boating clubs throughout the Colony will be communicated with on the matter. Pearce and Hunter, the representatives for the City of Wellington have published addresses announcing their intention to again come forward. Gisborne has also stated lm intention of contesting one of the seats for the city. An effort will be made to have the Inter-provincial Regatta, which is to come off here on Anniversary Day, rowed in batswing gigs instead of outriggers, as before. The object is to induce as great a number of competitors to enter as possible. The privileges of the Hutt course for next races were sold to-day. The pnblicans booths fetched from L 35 to LSO ; confectioners' booths, LlO to Ll6 ; stables, L 2 10a to L4 los ; . the right to sell cards and betting books, L6O. The stewards keep the gate themselves. The privileges without the gate' realised L 278. This is a considerable increase upon last year's prices. Bltjfp, Nov. 25. Arrived.— Ship Peter Denny, 87 days out from London, with a clean bill of health. There were eight deaths daring the passage, but no sickness during the last two months. The Health Officer has not yet boarded her. Auckland, Nov. 25. Sir George Grey convenes a meeting of his constituents of City West for Monday, ! to acquaint them with his views on tha present state of public affairs in tbe Colony. '
