TO-DAY.

The programme of the sports on the Race-course to-day, is a most liberal one, and will, no doubt induce not only many competitors but a large attendance of the public. The weather being so fine the natural attractions of the road and its surrounding scenery are alone sufficient to enable visitors to spend a few hours agreeably, whilst the athletic games comprise most of the favorite exhibitions of muscular strength and skill. The sports to-day commence with quoits, next follows the great foot-race for the Westland championship, to "be succeeded by other pedestrian trials and a hack race, which last should be at least an amusing one, and will no doubt be run " on the square." Music will be provided, and refreshments can b& obtained on the ground.
