The only vessel loading at tho wharf at Melbourne for this port when the Albion left was the three-masted schooner Alma, Walters, master. . The Albion arrived yesterday morning, and was quickly waited on by the p. s. Dispatch, ' which landed her Greymouth and Hokitika mails and passengers. She proceeded on to Hokitika, but the intention was that if riot promptly tendered there she would go on to Melbourne. The passengers for HoSitika were sent forward by coach in the afternoon. The steamer Jason, oE the Netherlands India SteamJNavigation Company of Batavia, has made an. excellent run to Java. She left Melbourne on the Bth June, and arrived at Sourabaya on the- 16th of July, after having called at Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Townsville, and Port Darwin, to receive and discharge cargo and passengers. The company's next steamer, the Atjeh, will; leave Adelaide for Melbourne on Saturday, and after being docked here, will meet with quick despatch for Java. She is under command of Captain Von der Gevel, a gentlemen well known iv these colonies, and well acquainted with the various ports of the northern portion of Australia. — "Argus," August 21.
