Bank of New Zealand. —The half-yearly meeting of the Bank of New Zealand was heM at Auckland on Wednesday 29th ult. The report stated that the net profit to the 3lßt of March (after making an allowance for bad debts, and depreciating of Bank propertifts) was L 41.820; the balance of undivided profit,' L 8892, making a total available for division of L 50,712 .' The following was recommended — A ten per cent dividend (L 7500); and the balance (L 12.212 carried to profit and loss, new account. The report was adopted. National Insurance Company.— Dunedin, May 7- The half-yearly report of the National Insurance Company, ending March 31, has jußt been published. After deducting various charges, L 17.236 Is 8.1 is left to the credit of the profit and Joss. The directors recommend a dividend of ten per cent per annum, which will leave a balauce of about L 2500 to be carried to the reserve fund. : ;
