A PROCLAMATION.
Wjhereaa by "The Immigration and Pub|ia; Works Act, 1870," it is enacted thatjthe Governor may, on thereqnest of the Superintendentand Provincial Council of any Province in which any proclaimed gjoldjfield is, cause to be constructed, completed, extended, repaired, or maintained, buck works: for supplying water to sncn : gold. -fields as he may from time to' time think fit, and may enter into contracts for the construction j completion or ex tear sion of such works^ "or for purchasing or othe: rwise acquiring ; auy drains, : ; dams, waiqr-racea, reservoirs, or $<&s¥. works already construed,, which 1 may appear to fire governor Biu{able ,'fo^ any such, purposej aforesaid :' And it is also thereby .enacted that, whenever , ib&, 'Governor shall determine to construct any waterworks under the powers conferred by Partj 111., of the said Acty he shall, from time to time, by Proclamation published in.; tl c jypjfl. £ecifa#(J ' Qat&iti, declare and spec fy the water-works which' he propose i to construct, . and the, .lands, and strej ma of water proposed to lie taken for the i >urposes of such water? works, and any suchj Proclamation may refer to maps, plany, or, drawings; to be deposited in the office of the Registrar or Deputy Ec«
