[Anglo-australian pkess telegkaph AGENCY.] Wellington, Sept. 10. In the House, to-day, the Native Land Bill was read a third time. Mr Sheehan protested against the passing of the Bill. The clauses introduced yesterday had totally altered the Bill, and made it injurious to Natives and likely to cause trouble. The Provincial Empowering Bill was further considered in Committee. Clause 55 was amended, preventing lands being sold under it at less than could be sold by law at the time, • A discussion ensued over fixing the maximum rate of interest at six per cent. Eventually the clauses were passed. A discussion is now on as to leaving to the Supreme Court Judges, the appointment of valuators. ...■! . ;,..-.
