THE COUNTY ELECTIONS. [NEW ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Hokitika, Dec. 13. Mr Hamilton Cuming has been returned for Ross by a majority of 30. No return has yet been received from Okarito. Mr Robinson was returned by a large majority for Kanieri ; and Mr Barff for Waimea, also by a large majority. "Christohurch, Dec. 13. The Governor has arrived. He was loudly cheered. ■ Auckland, Dec. 13. The Provincial Council rejected a Bill bringing the Municipal Waterworks ' Act into force in Auckland. At the Thames a meeting adopted a petition in favor of a railway to connect the Thames with Waikato. The Auckland Club has disqualified Peeress. The race meeting in January is expected to be a great success.
