QRXY RIViJR AiRGTJS Office, Friday evening. The amount of revenue received at the Customs on goods passed for home consumption to-day was £169 0s sd. Melbourne.— The Daily Telegraph of the Oth inst. reports :— With three, conflicting elements, viz., the closing of the mails, the races, and the miserable weather, it would have beeu a matter for surprise if to-day had been other than an " off one in commercial circles. We have not been able to. hear of any transactions of the slightest imp-rtrnce. Breadstuffs continue to wear a very quiet aspo.c< . bat as thu same remark would apply jus now to almost all other goods, it has ir little significance at the present june u>-e We hear that some sales of barl y have b««u concluded, ex the late arrival from San Francisco, viz , the Violette. The price is understood to bo a full one, but it has not transpired. Oate are still firm, but maize is very much neglected. Sugar, in spite of the large quantity lately put upon the market, maintains a very solid appearance. The trade have more confidence in it than circumstances might leem to warrant. Kerosene oil is decidedly flat, tbe recent favorable advices notwithstanding. Cornsacks aro very firm, and would be freely tuken at last week's rates, were any offering so low. In liquids we hear of a sale of Martell's and Jules Robin's brandy at a full figure.
