- CheistchoKcii — The Times, of the 28th nit, has tie following report of the grain, and stock markets :—
Breadstuff's arc very dull, scarcely any sales having been made throughout the whole week. Wheat is scarco, but in the absence clan outside demand prices are very weak ; good milling samples are quoted at 4s 9d to 4s 10(1, and even 5a has oeen paid, but only in exceptional cases. Flour moves off very, alowly at Ll2. Barley is now out of season, and the demand has quite fallen off. Oats find a steady market at 2s to 2s 2d, accordins to sample In provisions, hiins aud bacon continue to be quoted at 8(1 for bare, and B£d in cloth, bat we have not heard of any actual sales at the advance. Butter is offering more freely at B|d to B£d, and at these figures stocks are readily placed, cheese remains at . last week's quotations, and a steady business can be reported. Fat cattle are in good supply, and show a decline upon last week's rates ot 2s 6d per 1001 b. Wo quote beef, according to quality, At 20s to 25s per 1001 b.
