LATER ENGLISH NEWS.
One day's later news has been received via Sah Francisco. It 'is a special telegram to the Press Association, dated on the day the steamer left. London, Sept. 11. Fere Hyacinthe, in a letter defending his recent marriage, declares it to. be farthest from his intention to renounce his high calling, and endeavors by many arguments to show the justness of his claims that marriage by the priesthood is; by no means antagonistic. New York, Sept. 11. Yesterday morning two freight. tiains collided on the New York Central Railway, demolishing both engines. Six loaded cars were burned and other cars, none of which were insured. Loss, 25,000d0]. At Parsac village, New Jersey, Watson and Sons' bleaching and flannel manufactory was burned ; loss, 125,000d01. The Emigration Commissioners make a report in reference to the emigrant ship. Charles Marshall, showing the perpetration of fearful cruelties to passengers, on the present trip to New York, at the hands of an insubordinate crew, the captain having died on the voyage. . Gold opened, New York, September 11, at 113. Liverpool.— Wheat quotation, 12s. lOd to 13s.
