PROCEEDINGS IN PARLIAMENT.
WELLijjfGTO'S', Sept. 19. Last night the Hause of Representatives was wholly occupied, in committee, with the consideration of the Otago Land Bill. In the Legislative Council the Bill introduced for the re-admission of Mr Smythies to the Bar was rejected by 21 to 7 votes. Wellington, Sept. 20, 8 p.m. This afternoon has been spent in Committee on various bills.
