The schooner Gleaner was towed into port yesterday afternoon by the p s Dispatch. She has made a ten days' run fremv Melbourne, bringing a general cargo, principally conoigned to her owner, Mr Coates. Tho s s Tararua arrived in the Hokitika roadstead yestcuUy afternoon, and is expected to be tendered here early this morning, along with the s s Albion, from Nelson. The schooner Lady Don, Captain Ruxton, arrived in harbor yesterday morning, from Groymouth ; was tugged out by the p s Dispatch on August 30 ; on September 1 was off Rocks Point ; on tho 3rd passed Stephens' Island and the Brothers, also a barque and a brig beating to the northward ; on the 4th passed Cape Campbell, arriving as above. — Lyttelton Times, September 7. The schooners Kaiuma, Canterbury, and Sarah and Mary, and the ketch Jupiter, arrived . in harb'ir yesterday, from Greymouth, with cargoes of coal. — Lyltelton Times, September 7. Captain M'Lean has command of the Albion, and (says tho Otago Daily Times) looks oven more youthful than for years past. The Albion left Port Phillip Heads at 8 p.m. on the ?Bth ult. ; passed Swan Island at 4 pm. next day. Experienced light northerly winds till the 2ud inst., which then increased to a gale, with heavy cross seas ; hove- to for three hours, when she bore away, and arrived off Bluff Harbor at 6.30 p.m. same day; entered at daylight on the 3rd, discharged mails and cargo, aud sailed at 0.30 p.m. Mr Norrisis purser. The Pearl, wooden corvette, 2187 tons, 1390-horso power, ordered to be repaired and relitted at Portsmouth for service on the Australian station, appears on examination to be in a decayed state, and will require very close inspection before the repairs in the shipwrights' department arc commenced. The Colonial Empire, for Victoria; Bcbingtoa, for . Wellington ; and Polmaiae, for Maryborough, have sailed from England with emigrants. The Dido, 8, wooden ship, Captain William C. Chapman, having been relieved in Simon's Bay by the Druid, left the Capo for the-Aus-tralian station on 16th May with orders to call at St. Panl'tf Island for any stores of the Mcgrera not taken by the Cossack. The Atrato, s s, has just been chartered by tho Agent-General far Victoria to carry the next batch of emigrants out to Melbourne. This vessel is a very large one for this purpose, she being 3500 tons burthen. The Atrato wns formerly one of the vessels of the Koyal Mail Steam Packet Company, and has made several successful voyages to the West Indict!. She is appointed to leave Plymouth for Melbourne in September, aud is expected to make the rnn out, via the Cape, in fifty days. —Euroijean Mail.
