Tuesday, Sept. 10. ■ : _■ , (Before Mr : Warden Whitef oprd. ) , .Police v. John Molloy.T-For carrying on business without a license, waft fined - L 2, and costs. LI 12s. Louis Caset v. James law and party. —This was a case for encroachment on ground at Candlelight Terrace. The claimant omitting to appear, the . defendant was awarded LI 19s costs. William Glanville v. James Casey and party.— The complainant sued for damages ior destroying a portion of plaintiffs water race, at Maori Gully . No. 1. Th« case was struck out — there being, no appearance of either party. Paiil Pelloni and party v. J; F, Wickham and .party. — Mr Newton for the complainants, and Mr Staite for the defence. This was an action for L 99, for an unlawful interference with complainants' registered water race at Maori Gully No 1. A number of witnesses were called on both sides. The case occupied the Court upwards of two hours, when it was adjourned for one month for the report of the Mining Surveyor. The Court was then adjourned to Tuesday, the Bth October.
