Tuesday, Sept. 10. (Before C. Whitefoord, Esq., R.M. j j Police v. H. Dawson.— ■ The defendant was charged with indecency, and fined 20sl or 48 hours', imprisonment. Same v. same. — For using threatening words in presence of a constable, was . fined 20s or 24 hoiirs'.imprisonment. Police v. John Williams.— -For being drunk and disorderly, defendant was fined 10s or 24 hours' imprisonment. Same v. same.— The defendant was fined 203 or 48 hours' imprisonment for using threatening language in a publio place, tending to provoke a breach of the pease. Police v. Joseph Brown. -= For being drunk and. disorderly on the Ist , Septenv her, defendant was fined 10s or 24 hours' imprisonment ; and for the same offence on the Bth, was fined 20a or 48 hours' imprisonment. Police v.. Henry Bolton. — Defendant, for using threatening words in a public place, was fined 20s or 48 hours', imprisonment. Pat O'Halleron v. James Thornton.— This was a charge of assault, but there being no appearance the case was struck OUt. . ...■- ':'■■ Francis Beynon was charged by John Quinlivan, his mate, with stealing a L5note, but owing to the prosecutor declining to give evidence, the prisoner was discharged. * ' ■ . . . crviL cases. John' Molloy y. George Green. — This was an adjourned case from Ahaura to No Town for a claim of L 8 2s for goods delivered. Judgment for defendant, with costs L 2 3s.
