The following (says a San Francisco paper) is an inscription oh a tombstone erected over the grave of an editor's wife in the vicinity of that town : — "To the memory of Tabitha, the wife of Moses Skinner, Esq., Gentlemanly Editor of the Trombone. Terms, 3dol a year in advance. Akind Mother and Exemplary Wife. Office over Coleman's Grocery, up Two Flights of Stairs. Knock Hard. We shall Miss Thee, Mother, We Shall Miss Thee. Job Printing Solicited." A late Glikago Post says : — Our lynxeyed assistants report this morning that 1743 people slipped down yesterday on the perfidious side-walks.
