This country (says iheßallarat Courier) is just now threatened with an exodus "to the New South Wales Gold Fields and Port Darwin, and therefore the sooner we make up our minds to 6pen up by large efforts new leads of gold or auriferous quartz lodes to keep oiir population from straying the better it will be for the future welfare of Victoria.
