Mr Macandrew has . received a unanimous vote of confidence from his constituents at Port Chalmers He praised the Otago education .system,, and hoped that the Education Bill ia the Assembly would suffer the same fate as last session. He praised the new; arrangements about the San Francisco service,, stating that the whole credit of the arrangement was due to Mr Yogel, who had done more for the Colony than all the so-called statesmen put together." No doubt, if? he left New Zealandi they should hear of him taking his place amongst Imperial politics.
