Chbistchubch.— The Lyttelion Times of Saturday last reports : — Wheat continues in steady request at 33 lOd for medium, and 4s for prime parcels. Several large shipments have already been made, and some half-dozen vessels are at the wharf loading. We do not anticipate any immediate improvement, as outside quotations leave no margin over present values. Flour is in steady request for local consumption at Lll to Lll 10s. Oats continue to find good support : for prime milling samples Is Od to Is lOd is freely given for future delivery, and in stored lots Bales are being made somewhat freely at Is lid to 2s ; inferior feed oats are difficult to place even at the low quotations of Is 7d to Is Bd. . An active enquiry exists for barley ; extensive orders have been received for the north. We understand that the limit given for good Chevalier malting samples is 4s; inferior samples are moving off rather more freely at 38 up to 3s 6d, according to quality. All produce is at present firm at the following quotations :— Butter we notice is now in excellent demand at 6Jd to 7d ; hams and bacon sell freely at 7d to 74d; cheeße, 3|d for new and 4d for old.
