The following is the amount of Customs and other duties collected at Greymouth daring the month of January :— Duties, £2906 7s; light dues, 3s sd; Arms Act, £6 13s; other receipts, £199 Is ; gold duty (Nelson), £621 5s lid ;do (Westland), £544 4s. Total, £4277 14s 4s. The duties at Hokitika during the same month amounted to £2521. Tho export gold duty was £882, making a total of £3403.
