ADDITIONAL ENGLISH TELEGRAMS.
[pee greville's telegraph company, reuter's agents. J By the arrival of the «.s. Tararua at the Bluff" yesterday, we have additional telegrams of English news:— 7" Alexandra; Nov. 27. The P. and O. s.a. Rangoon, while leaving Galle harbor for Australia, on the evening of the Ist November, and while lying-to outside waiting for the mail boat from the shore, struck on a rock and foundered at midnight in the roads outside in fifteen fathoms of water. The passengers, crew, and thirteen of the mail bags from China, India, and Ceylon were saved. The vessel was in the pilot's charge, and it is thought the wreck is recoverable. All the officers of the Rangoon are detained at Galle, pending inquiry. The mineral resources of New Zealand are attracting attention at home.
