Drunk and Disorderly.^ JohnO'Brien was fined 10s, or, in default, 48 hours' imprisonment for the above offence. Alexander Stewart was charged by police j constable Cashion with a like offence. j This was the third conviction within th£ee months. His Worship cautioned the defendant, telling him that he was liable to a penalty of L 5 and 14 days' imprisonment. Ann Smith was also charged, on the information of police-constable M'Donald i with being drunk and incapable in Arnejp' street on Sunday morning. The case being fully proved, she was sentenced to one week's imprisonment. Breach of the Licensing Ordinance. Neil M'Kinnon was charged with keeping his licensed house, at Maori Gully, open after eleven o'clock. Police constable Adam Bissett stated that he was stationed at Clifton. On the night of the 17th ult. he went over to Maori Gully. About 12 o'clock there was music and dancing in defendant's hotel. The front door was closed, but the side one was open. The house was only licensed till 1J p.m. ■:■ The defendant, who did not appear, was fined LlO and costs— immediate execution being granted, as defendant was about to leave the Coast. ■ •
