Blenheim, Oct. 2. Mr Jackson, a shoemaker, cut his throat to-day, ai:d died immediately.

Wellington, Oct. 2,

Mr W. H. Shephard, proprietor of the lino of coaches between Wanganui and New Plymouth, was thrown from the coach, and kicked on the side by one of the horses on Wednesday last. He lingered in great agony until this morning, when death ensued. He was well-known in Otago, Hokitika, Wanganui, and Wellington, and is much regretted.
