STAMP DUTIES.
The following is a summary of the provisions of the Stamp Duties Act: — There are fouv Schedules to the Act. The fiist contains the duties on deeds aud other instruments relating to transactions between living persons; the second, the duties on probates of wills and letters of administration j the third, the duties on legacies and successions to pei"soual estate under any testamentary disposition, or upon intestacy ,* the fourth, duties on successions to real and personal estate.
