Tauranga, April 12. The. natives are congregating at Ohiuemuri to determine the opening up of the Arohoa Gold Field, "and dispose of the obstacles to the overland mail. The natives commence to-day making the trunk rbad to thV Waikato.' i A flotilla of canoes is in sight, convey-j ing stores, and there is great excitement; and rejoicing. : Taranaki, April 10. The Pariaka natives will .allow the tele-; graph to cross their land, and the last l telegraph survey peg has been driven here, to-day. . ' The tenders for the Waitara bridge are -extended to May Ist.
