Chbistchurch, March 17. A cottage belonging to Mr J. Reeve 3, coachmaker, was destroyed by fire last night. The house and furniture were insured in the Royal for LIOO. Nelson, March 17. In re the libel case Sir David Munro against the proprietors of the Colonist newspaper, an application was made to-day for an enlargement of the rule nisi against the defendants. An enlargement was granted until the next sitting cf the Court after the vacation. Sir David Monro has been served with notice of a petition against his return for Motueka, on the grounds of personation, bribery, and treating.
