Christchurch.- -The Lyttdton Times, of Saturday last, reports .:-- . The demand for wheat has not improved during the week, owing to the few buyers in this market ; there have been sales of goodsized lines, at reported prices, from 4s to 4s 2d for forward delivery, but stored parcels fetch a slight advance on the above figures. Flour is difficult to sell, consequently the millers are shipping to England ; but the quantity going forward is so small that, its effect on this market will scarcely be felt. Oats continue to be dealt in to a large extent, but pi ices show no signs of improvement. Heavy feed tin;ls> steady market at 2s 6d to 2s 7d; Tartarian fetching 2s 2id to 2s 3.^1. Quotations for barley remain unaltered, and few sales can be recorded. Provisions have not been attracting much notice for export, and the present aspect of the market is not very cheerful. Butter finds buyers at G^d to 7d. Cheese is somewhat neglected at (jd to 6id. Hams and bacon range from 7d to 7fd, According to the condition.
