RETIREMENT OF MR. FRANKLYN.

[to the editor;] Sir— As I know some little interest ia' felt about the result of the election for the Grey District in the Nelson Provincial Council, I beg to acquaint you that it is not my intention to go to the poll, but to retire in favor of Mr Wilkie. This is not from any fear of the result ; but, candidly speaking, I am heartily sick of politics, and intend for the future to look after my own business in preference to that of any other person.— l am, &c, ; W. N. Fkanklyn.
