THE HOSPITAL BENEFIT.
[to the editor.] Sir,— ln reply to the letter, signed "F. P. Atkinson, Stage Manager, G. A. D.0.," which appeared in your contemporary's issue of the 10th instant, I beg to inform that gentleman that I do not feel myself bound to comply with his very mild and polite request ; and, in discussing this question, I wish it to be distinctly understood that I am destitute of all personal feeling, and shall ever maintain the opinion I have hitherto expressed, until some more conclusive facts are submitted to the public. And with every feeling of respect towards the distingue stage manager, permit me still to remain, and hope to be again, One of the Audience. [This correspondence must terminate here. We have received another communication on the same subject, but we regret to say that it is too long, toostrongj and too personal for insertion.— Ed.]
