WELLINGTON RACES.
An adjourned meeting of the Jockey Club was held on Tuesday, the Bth instant, when the following gentlemen were appointed stewards .-—Messrs Borlase, G. Crawford, Braithwaite, M'lutosh; clerk of the course, John Cudbj ; clerks of the scales, Messrs Gilligan and Bowlands , hon. secretary, Mr Gilligan. It was agreed that the races were to take place on the Hutt course on the 30th and 31st of this month, and a programme was arranged as under :— First day — Maiden Plate, L — ; licensed Victualler's Purse, L— ; and Hutt Park Stakes, L6O. Second day — Hurdle Race, L— ; Wellington Jockey Club Handicap, LCO ; and the Consolation Stakes.
