LANGDON'S FERRY.
♦■ . (To the Editor of the Grey River Argtt*.y Sib—My name and that of the ferry have been brought very prominent before the public of late, and in common justice to myself and those representing me, I wish to state that yourreportsin this week's Akctos and that of last week are false and without foundation. The creek your reporter talks about is one mile and a-qnar-ter from Langdon's Ferry, where the numbers of accidents have taken place. I also beg to state that there never has been an accident either in my time or that of fmy predecessor, Mr Mitchell; and I think j it would be more to the credit of your re- { porter to confine himself to correct state-, menta. In respect to Mr Warden Lowe's accident, you will "find, if you take the trouble to ask that gentleman, that it also is without foundation. If our Greymouth friends wish to ride tip/country in slippers and white boots, please wait until we hare better roads and Langdon's punt ready. The punt will be ready in about five or six weeks.—l am, &c.; J. M. Languor.
