(from our own correspondent.) Wellington, Nov. 1. The nomination for the Auckland Superintendency took place on the 28th ult. Dr. Pollen retired in favor of Mr T. B. Gillies. Mr Ellis also retired. The show of hands was in favor of Mr Williamson. Mr Gillies demanded a poll. Rich crushings have taken place from the Long Drive, Golden Crown, and Eureka claims. Rich specimens have been taken from the Shotover claim, and also from a new reef in the Ohinemuri district. Kereopa and Hakaraia are reported as having joined Te Kooti.
