Adelaide. Ore yielding 54 per cent, of pure bismuth has been found near the city. Coal has been discovererl at Chinkford, away north. Sydney. The Government intend reducing the Asylum and Penal Departments L 25,000, and to abolish the establishment on Cockatoo Island. News from the new diggings at Dubbo has caused a rush. Mr Breillate, jnn., miller, was thrown from a horse. His skull was fractured. Storm signals have been arranged for use along the coast where the telegraph is to transmit the news.
