Fellows, for political services. The steamer Reliance foundered off Cape Schanck, but no lives were lost. The Alhambra and the Tarania both arrived on the 17th. The Land Bill is slowly progressing. The vital principles of the Bill have been affirmed. Messrs Danes, Strutt, and Fraser, members of the Legislative Assembly, are charged with having received bribes from Mr Tobin, a squatter. Explanations given in the matter caused fresh complications, and it is proposed to appoint a committee to investigate the charges. The Geolong Woollen Company have declared a dividend of ten per cent. The charge of perjury against Bellamy * has not been sustained.
