The correspondent of the New Zealand Herald gives, the following list of the killed and wounded at the skirmish between tkft late Hau Hau prisoners and the Colonial Forces at Paparatu and Poverty Bay, on Monday, July 20 :— F, Hilbon, gunshot wound in mouth, slight ; F. Evans, gunshot wound in shoulder, slight ; Cbarles Ferris, gunshot wound in face, slight; Robert GofcU smith, gunshot wound in arm and «ide x severe; John Pilbrow, gunshot wound; in arm, slight ; Thomas Wren, gunshot wound in back, slight; William Wood, gunshot wound, dead ; Wi Koaro, guushot wound, dead; Leckey Farrell, gunshot wound in shoulder and arms, not expected to live. On Friday, July 24, Colonel Whitmore declared, the wboje district under martial law^
