A JOB FOR THE ROAD BOARD.
(To the Editor of the Ore;/ River Argus.) As facilities for travelling would appear to be amongst the first considerations which suggest themselves in connection with the duties of a Road Board, it may not be out of place to direct the attention of that body to the report that the bridge recently erected by the Rice Committee has been swept away by the floods of the last few clays. Prior to the races a boat was available for ferrying across the lagoon, but I am told that such is not the case now. . I am, &c. , An Up-Country Coon. [We believe that the Sub-Committee pave instructions yesterday for a boat to be sont up to the Owomutumutu Creek as speedily as possible. — ~Et>.G.B.A.]
