Morris appeared to a summons charged with having removed a quantity of metal from the road in Arney-street without per-, mission. It appeared that the defendant had been employed by Mr Ashton to fill, up a hole of stagnant water in the street, and that he had taken some of the metal from where the tramway was formerly laid. The metal had not been taken away from the street. The Magistrate said that as this was the first case that had come be-., fore him of the kind, and as the accused might not have, known that he was doing wrong, he would dismiss, the. charge with a,, caution. •
