THE TRUCK SYSTEM AT THE NELSON COAL MINE.
(■To the Editor of the Grey River Argus.) Sin— Having noticed in your issue of Saturday, the 20th, a letter signed "Edward. Hughes," wherein he states that' Mr. Taylor disposes of goods "30 per cent, dearer than the next store," and also through this and^ other causes the miners are obliged to leave their employment. Now we as a body of miners positively eleny that any man has left the work through this cause; nor has he been discharged on this account — any miner , being at perfect liberty to buy his goods where he thinks proper. And we know the man Hughes was elischarged through inability to follow his work thremgh intemperance. '' We would advise him in future to keep his name out of print until* he has a better cause to plead. By inserting this you will oblige the miners and employees of the Nelson Coal ,-tjoinpany.. : j Gg'o. P. Edwaeds, '..-,." • J For the miners ajid others of Coal Mines. '«, Grey liiver,-, April 26 A
