COMMERCIAL.
Griey River Argus Office, Friday evening. We have to record another week of more than usual dubjess in business, partly attributable tp the absence of imports of any moment, but perhaps lijore so to the disturbing influence of the reports from the Buller and the intermediate digging ports. Shipments to these places have been made to some extent, bat the transactions for the ! up-river"and town trade have been extremely limited. Although stocks of many articles have become low, jthere is little change to note in prices previously quoted. Both the Highlander and <J" ohn Bnllock from Melbourne, are now djie, and their cargoes needed t/? meet the requirements of the maiket. T-fye entire absence of sales at auctiou of any kfnd during the week may be considered as clearly indicating unusual quietness in matters generally.
