LOSSES IN THE WAR.
The total loss of the Prussians during the campaign is stated to be 21,989, of whom 2810 are reported killed, 6188 severely wounded, and 2925 missing. Of Austrians, on the other- hand, the men who were killed, or who died of their wounds, are numbered at 1G,6.Q0, and the wounded who still survive at about 25,440, of whom nearly half re.ma.in. in the Prussian hospitals. By the terms qf peace, on our side was. released 523 Austrian officers, and' 35,036 rank and file, to which will presently be. added 13,000 more, as soon as their wounds admit of their removal. On the other side, Austria gave up seven Prussian officers and 4so non-commissioned officers and men. Thus, the proportion of Austrian to Prussian prisoners is rather more than eighty-three to one, and the total Austrian, loss is estimated at 90,QQQ.
