TRAINS wiU run from Christchurch tothe Racecourse at intervals of about 30 minutes from 11.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.. and from the Racecourse to Christchurch at intervals from about 3.15 p.m. np to half an hour after the last race. Fares—Christchurch to the Racecourse - and back, including admission to the Course —Covered Carriages, 3s 6d; Seated Wagons, 2s 6d. The trains to and from the Racecourse will not stop for passengers at any intermediate station, and season and ordir tickets and free passes are not avjl these trains. The following alterations ordinary time table will also he made:— LYTTELTON-1, INE. After the 9.5 a.m. train from Christchurch and the 9.35 a.m. train from Lyttelton the ordinary time table will be suspended, and trains will run from Christchurch to Lyttelton at short intervals from 10 a.m. to 2.40 p.m., and from 4.0 p.m. until 9.0 p.m. ; A and from Lyttelton to Christchurch-:'',, at short intervals from 10.30 a.p,; ; J until 2 p.m., and from 3.25 p.m. until 8.45 p.m. - . There will also he a train from Christchurch to Lyttelton at 11,15 p.m., returning at midnight; and a train-iron Lyttelton to Christchurch at 10.30 p.m. The morning train from Methven to Rakaia will run same as on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The morning train from Oxford to Kaiapoi and Kaiapoi to Oxford will run same as on Saturdays, the evening train running 50 minutes later than usual each way. Instead of midday trains on the Ox,ordRangiora Branch there will be morning and evening trains, all except the evening train from Eangiora to Oxford at the usual times. The evening train from Eangiora to Oxford will he 50 minutes later than usual. Springfield, and Waikari, will leave as follows: — For Ashburton at 4.50 p.m., for Southbridge at 5.5 p.m., for Springfield at 5.25 p.m., for Waikari at 5.45 p.m., running respectively 35, 70, 55, and 45 minutes later than usual. Evening branch trains in connection with those trains will run correspondingly later than usual, viz.: — Rakaia to Methven 20 minutes, Darfield to Whiteeliffs 55 minutes, Oxford toKaiapoi 50 minutes, Kaiapoi to Oxford 50 minutes, and Eangiora to Oxford 50 minutes. The evening trains from Timaru will leave as follows : Timaru to Albury and hack at 5.C p.m., to Oamaru at 5.20 p.m., to Ashburton, at 5.30 p.m., running respectively 85, 55, and 55 minutes later than usual. The evening train from Oamaru to Timaru, and Waimate to Studholme Junction and hack, will run 55 minutes later than usual. A special train will leave Christchurch for Eangiora at 11.0 p.m., arriving there at 12.10 a.m , returning at 12.20 a.m., and arriving at Christchurch at 1.30 a.m., stopping where required. Goods traffic will be suspended. On the 2nd January the evening train from Oamaru to Timaruuvill run 55 minutes later than usual, and an extra trip will be run on the Waimate branch to take up passengers out of the train from Oamaru. Fares. —All ordinary single fare tickets issued from 21st December to 2nd January will be available for return np to and m-j eluding the Bth January.
