The Natives of Wangarei are getting more violent in the disputed road business, and are threatening the settlers. The body of the lad found yesterday in the harbor is identified as that of John Martin. Kellar and Cunard, the illusionists, opened at the Opera House last night to a moderate House. TIMARU, December 10. There are ten prisoners for trial at the half-yearly sessions of the Supreme Court to-morrow. DUNEDIN, December 10. The opinions expressed as to the poorness of the Dunedin and Suburban Cricket Association team which met the Aucklanders were justified yesterday, when the same team (with one or two slight exceptions) met a Carishrook eleven. The latter kept the wickets all the afternoon, scoring 245. H. Mac Neil contributed ,88. The weather here is remarkably fine, and has been so all the week.
