The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Wednesday, November 29th, were as follows: —Spirits, .£144 Ss Id ; tobacco, .£49 ; wine, £2O 2s 6d ; sugar, £55 6s 6d; tea, £42 17s 2d; goods by weight, £322 193 9d ; ad valorem, £849 17s ; other duties, .£3SS 18s Bd. Total, £1843 9s Bd. PEOPEETY SALE AT KAIAPOI. On Thursday Mr Buss, auctioneer, submitted for sale, on account of Mrs E. H. Carew, at the Pier Hotel, a number of "building allotments fronting on Fuller street, near the railway station, averaging about one-eight of an acre each. The lots were sold at the following prices, and there was brisk bidding :—Lots 1 to 5, £23 each, W. H. Burton ; 12, £24, J. Norrie ; 13 and 14, £2O eanh, E. Wilson; 15 16 and 17, £23 each, W. H. Burton; 25 and 26, £35 together, H. Smith; 27, £ll2, H. Smith ; 28, .£39, H. Smith; 29, £35, B. Lissaman; 30, .£34, J. Humphries ; 31, £37, W. H. Crabtree ; 32 and 33, £35 each, Joseph Stanton.
