The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Friday, November 24th, were as follows: —Spirits, .£l3l 13s 9d; wine, £65 lls 8d ; beer, £9 4s 6d; sugar, £lO6 10s fid; tea, £lO7 14s; goods by weight, £2l 8s 8d; ad valorem, £291 8s ; other duties, £7 6sßd. Total, £740 17s 9d. AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS.

Messrs. H. Matson and Co. held a sale of properties at their rooms on Saturday last. There was a large attendance, and the chief interest being in 50 acres of land, situate on the Lincoln road, known as Murray’s Farm. The biddings started at £45 per acre, and eventually it was sold for £65 per acre. Several other small properties not reaching owners’ reserves were withdrawn. Total sale, £3250.
