The Hon. Ivo Bligh’a English Eleven commenced a match to-day against an eleven of Victoria. The weather was very fine and favorable for the match. A large number of spectators visited the ground during the day. Great interest is being taken in the contest. The Englishmen went in first to the wickets, and remained in till late in the afternoon, when the last wicket fell for a total of 273. The following are the scores: G. B. Vernon, b ... ... 9 Morley, b ... ... 10 Extras 4 Total 273 Received November 18, 1.15 a.m. At the cricket match to-day between the English team and Eleven of Victoria, the latter, who commenced their first innings late in the afternoon, had lost two wickets when stumps were drawn for the day for 16 runs.
