New Zealand securities remain at last quotation, viz.:—Five Per Cent. 10-40 Loan, 10SJ ; Five Per Cent 1889 Loan, 104 ox div.; Pour and a Half Per Cent. 1879-1904 Loan, 1021. Colonial breadstuffs continue quiet at 49s for Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse ; and 43s for New Zealand ditto ; and 33s Cdfor Adelaide flour, ex warehouse. The i.total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1.900.000 quarters, being an increase of 180.000 quarters during the week. Australian tallow is dull at 42s for best beef, and 43s 6d for best mutton. Gospel Oak corrugated iron, 26in gauge, packed in cases, f.o.b. in London, remains at £2O 10s. Best Sydney copra (sun dried), is quoted at £l9 10s, being an advance of 4s ; best sides of Australian leather have declined from lid to lOid. The market is dull. Received November 12th, 10.40 a.m. In the House of Commons last night Sir Stafford Northcote’s motion for the rejection of cloture as proposed by the Premier was, after further debate, negatived on a division by 304 to 24 (sic). The minority included the Irish members. Subsequently rules for the adoption of cloture were agreed to by the House. In accordance with previous notice, Sir Stafford Northcote in the House of Commons last night, inquired of the Premier when he would be prepared to discuss the question of the British occupation of Egypt. Bishop Kennon, of Adelaide, is to be married on the 21st November, and will be consecrated to his See on the 30th November.
