SUPREME COURT.

This Day, IN CHAMBERS. (Before his Honor Mr Justice Johnston.) POLLOCK V GRAY. On the application of Mr Harper, this case stood over until next Court day. TATE V ALLOTT AND OTHERS. Mr Harper consented to the summons herein being made absolute, calling upon the other side to show cause why certain moneys, except AISOO insurance policy, should not be paid into Court. Mr J. C. Martin appeared on the other side.

Order made, costs to be costs of cause. PALMER AND ANOTHER V CHESNEY. Mr Harper appeared in support of summons to show cause why the case should not be argued in Christchurch instead of Hokitika. There was no appearance on the other side. Ordered to stand over until Monday. NATIONAL BANK V WARD. Mr Joyut and Mr Harper agreed that this case should stand over until Monday. BE GEORGE PACKE, DECEASED. Mr Harper obtained an order for probate to Mrs Packe.

BE JAMES ATKINSON. Mr Swann applied for an order for letters of administration to Jas. Wm, Mathias Atkinson and the approval of Thomas Bates as surety. Order as prayed. BE JAMES DANIEL FERGUSON. Mr J. C. Martin obtained an order for letters of administration to Peter Cunningham and John Inglis, two executors named in the will. RE NATHANIEL SUCKLING, DECEASED. Mr J. C. Martin obtained leave to register copy of will herein. RE, B. D. THOMAS. Mr Bruges applied under the Conveyancing Ordinance for an order for the appointment of R. D. Thomas as a Commissioner for taking the acknowledgments of married women.

Order as prayed. BE ALFRED CLAYTON WATSON. On the application of Mr Harper, this case was postponed until Monday. GAUUACK V NEW ZEALAND LOAN AND MERCANTILE COMPANY. Mr Joynt for the defendants applied for twenty-one days further time to plead herein.

Mr Harper consented. Order as prayed. JOHN RYAN. Mr Loughnan applied for an order for letters of administration to issue to Mrs Ryan. The application was made under peculiar circumstances, there being no actual proof of death the applicant, alleging that her husband had been absent for fifteen years. The estate consisted of a section of land in Wanganui. The Court required further affidavits, giving additional information. IN BANKRUPTCY. BE ROBERT THOMAS JEFFREY. Mr Loughnan obtained an order for the debtor’s discharge. RE THOS. WALTER LOUQtTET. Mr J. C. Martin applied under section 184 of the Act for an order of discharge. No certificate had been filed, and no resolution had been passed at the meeting of creditors. The debtor was present to be examined, and he had given notice to the trustee. His Honor said it would be necessary to obtain a certificate from the trustee that the debtor had given up his property. The application was therefore postponed until Monday. ' [JOHN RYAN. Mr Stringer obtained an order for the debtor’s discharge. HENRY ROBERTS. Mr Joynt obtained a similar order herein. JOHN COLLETT. Mr Bruges applied for an order for payment of costs out of the estate. Order as prayed. CHARLES JOHNSON. Mr Bruges obtained a similar order herein. This concluded the list, and the Court rose.
